Croatia stretches from the eastern edges of the Alps in the north-west across to the Pannonian plains and the banks of the Danube in the east. The central part of Croatia covers the Dinaric massif, and its southern part ends on the shores of the Adriatic Sea.

There are two climatic zones in Croatia. Inland the climate is mainly continental, although in parts it is mountainous and the climate varies accordingly. The Adriatic coast enjoys a pleasant temperate Mediterranean climate with a lot of sunshine throughout the year, and a hot dry summer.

Staying in Croatia is pleasant from April to October. During the summer season the temperature is generally around 38 degrees, while the sea temperature is a pleasant 26 degrees.
